Foster Cat Chats

Inside Buddy Foster's World

Guest Post Thursday: Amanda Panda

Today’s guest post is by a girl cat  that I think is a fabulous, furry, feline diva .  Her name is  Amanda Panda and  she has a pedigree. Unfortunately, I don’t.  If we lived closer, though,  I think we would make a beautiful couple.

Hi, I am Amanda. My full name is Amanda Panda. I am a Seal Point Himalayan-Persian female, born March 31, 2001.

My first adoptive humans lived in Jacksonville, Fl. They had two other cats and I don’t like a crowd. I hid behind their TV most of the time, as I had to get away from the chaos.

Well, these humans felt sorry for me, since I was always hiding and scared. They decided it may be best to find a home for me where I am the only cat. So that’s my story about how I ended up with the humans that I take care of now. We have been a family since 2008 – just the three of us.

We lived in our house in Jacksonville until 2012. I RULED that house and did it well! Then, mommy was transferred to Atlanta, Ga. Of course they took me with them! I mean, what were you thinking? I howled and created quite a fuss during our 7 hour car trip. Yep, I was a real grumpy cat.

I am much better now and I love my new home. I RULE our apartment and I am good at it!

I am a mature cat now and I am entitled to my senior cat moments – like wanting the sun rays where I lay; eating out of my red bowl, and not that blue one; sleeping on top of daddy when I want to and just being my cute cat self. By the way, I am much wiser too, in case you hadn’t noticed.

I spend my days eating and nibbling and oh yes, napping and sleeping. Mommy says I snore. C’mon! I don’t believe that for one minute.

Every now and then, I get into a playful mood and just terrorize the apartment. I need my exercise, you know. I want to keep my kittyish figure.

So, there is my About Me story. I am quite the cat and very pretty, if I must say so myself. Um, quite high maintenance, as well.

My humans have to brush me every day – boy do I have them wrapped around my paw.

Well, I am signing off as it is time for my nap. And I DO NOT SNORE! Mowrrrr!

Purrs and kisses,

I was late for Monday’ s post. I’m early for Thursday. I pressed publish accidentally. Next week we have a doggie guest blogger from Saving Sammie. Then we have a doggie interview -a NL dog from Fogo Island. Then Oliver Thornhill is back. So I’m thinking March 24th. Are Vivian and Maisie doing separate posts? It’s up to you.

The post will have to wait until April now because my book goes live on the 24th and I will be blogging about that. Also I will be out of the country for a week at the end of March. There will be one post with both cats.

Okay. I look forward to reading your book. I imagine you have book signings and that kind of thing lined up. How very exciting! We will reserve a Thursday for April. Whenever it’s ready you can just email it. Purrs to Maisie and Vivian. Just an idea – I am on the Lewisporte Memorial Library Board. We have had author readings in the past. A great way to promote your book.
