Inside Buddy Foster's World
No, No!! I don’t mean give your cat the name, Wednesday.
But, Meow! Maybe that wouldn’t be bad! You could call them Nessie for short.
Do you remember when Simon and Sammie featured the T. S. Eliot poem “The Naming of Cats”? Well Eliot told us that every cat should have an everyday name and a special, dignified name. My special name is Buddy Foster but everyone calls me Buddy. Similarly, Simon is Simon Killmouseky, Sammie is Sam-I-Am, Oliver is Oliver Thornhill, and Beau is Beau-Beau. I’m not sure about Mittens.
So, I have decided that every Wednesday, called Name Your Cat Wednesday, I will suggest cat names, both everyday and dignified. I hope it will be a help to cat owners who are struggling to find the perfect name. Or if a friend is getting a new kitty, you will be able to help them.
Today I have a name which Mommy suggested, since she once had a cat with this name.
This would be the perfect name for a delicate cat of a pale colour. It would probably be more suitable for a girl cat, not a boy like me. Mommy’s cat named Pussy Willow was a regal feline and very philoprogenitive.
If you named your kitty Pussy Willow as a special name, you could call her Puss or Willow as an everyday name.
I hope you are going to like all my suggestions.
